Chaunci’s Story:
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to start it?
My business, Walking Rooted, was born from a deep desire to walk with women as they reconnect with their inner wisdom and navigate the complexities of modern life. Inspired by my own journey of transformation, I have come to recognize the need for spaces where women could explore their stories, dreams, and archetypal patterns. I believe this is the core wisdom of women—our intuitive knowledge—which is undervalued in today’s society. There is a vital process of ‘re-membering’ these innate parts of ourselves, and it begins with women understanding and honoring this nature within. Only then can we hope to inspire a broader cultural shift. Through Walking Rooted, I’ve sought to weave together inner work and outer exploration, creating opportunities for women to reconnect with themselves, others, and the natural world.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?
One of my biggest challenges has been trusting the process—trusting that the ‘work’ truly works. As a Jungian coach, my practice often feels deeply personal, and it requires both vulnerability and courage to translate that into a business model. A significant part of this journey has been getting honest with my inner dialogue—the stories that kept me playing small. Jung says, ‘We are all walking around in shoes too small for us,’ and I realized that stepping into this work meant outgrowing those limitations. I needed to lean into my own practices—reflecting through dreams, consulting my inner compass, and trusting my instincts to guide me. Seeking mentorship and collaboration also reminded me of the importance of shared wisdom in navigating challenges and expanding into what’s possible.
How has being a member of Hive Ambition impacted your entrepreneurial journey?
Hive Ambition has had a profound impact on me, not just as a member but as someone who has witnessed its journey from inception to evolution. Watching Ashley’s passion and dedication shape HIVE into what it is today has been truly inspiring, and it’s been an honor to support her and the community in any way I can. One of the most meaningful aspects for me has been the hiking community it has fostered—a space where like-minded women come together to honor both hiking and the values it represents. The shared stories, resources, and encouragement within HIVE have connected me to a larger purpose and provided a balance of giving and receiving that has been invaluable to my growth.
What advice would you give to women considering starting their own business?
Listen to your instincts and honor your uniqueness. The feminine path often requires weaving intuition with strategy, and trusting that the twists and turns are part of the process. Surround yourself with supportive people who align with your values and remind you of your purpose when challenges arise. Most importantly, stay curious—about yourself, your work, and the world around you.
Can you share a moment when you felt particularly proud of your business?
I felt particularly proud when I stepped back and saw how my business truly reflects my personal life journey and aligns with who I am at my core. It’s deeply gratifying to know that the work I offer is a natural extension of my values, passions, and growth. I’m also proud of my website design, which feels like an authentic expression of my vision and the energy I want to bring into the world. Seeing it come together as a reflection of both my work and myself has been incredibly fulfilling.
How do you balance ambition with self-care in your daily life?
For me, balance comes from integrating small rituals into my day that ground me—whether it’s reflecting on dreams, walking in nature, or taking time to be still. I see self-care not as something separate from ambition but as the foundation that supports it. When I nurture myself, I’m able to show up fully for my work and my relationships. Also, baths. I take a lot of baths.
How does your business align with your personal values and your soul’s purpose?
Walking Rooted is an extension of me—a reflection of the guidance and wisdom I’ve received from many incredible women on my journey to reconnect with myself. It embodies my values of curiosity, connection, and honoring both the feminine and the natural rhythms of life. Every aspect of my work is designed to inspire trust in intuition and deepen a woman’s relationship with herself, reshaping how she experiences her reality.
What does living in alignment mean to you, and how do you integrate it into your business?
Living in alignment means honoring my values and staying connected to the relationships that shape my life, including the one I have with myself. I believe it is our relationship with the world around us that shapes our reality. So to make decisions that reflect my values, even when it’s challenging—perhaps especially then, keeps me aligned. In my business, I integrate this by reflecting on whether my offerings and collaborations are digestible, and relatable, and serve to bridge the gap between what is taught to women and what they intuitively know. Curiosity remains my guide.
Can you share a moment when you felt truly aligned with your work and its impact?
I feel very aligned right now! It is a beautiful thing to witness a client have a powerful dream and see her light up as she connects with her intuition and uncovers a deeper truth about her current life transition. Watching her step into self-trust is a profound reminder of why I do this work and the transformative power of dreams and inner exploration.
What practices help you stay grounded and aligned during busy or challenging times?
Dream reflection, writing, and spending time outdoors are my go-to practices for grounding and reconnecting. These rituals help me slow down, listen to my intuition, and regain clarity. I also lean on trusted mentors and the incredible circle of women in my life, whose support and wisdom are invaluable.
What legacy or impact do you hope your business will leave on the world?
I hope Walking Rooted inspires women to trust their intuitive knowledge, embrace their unique stories, and live with greater clarity. I believe that when we live intentionally, the ripples go deep—healing familial lineages—and wide, touching our most intimate relationships and expanding outward to the broader community. If this work helps even one woman reconnect with herself and her innate wisdom, then I am happy. My wish is that Walking Rooted inspires a ripple effect where the wisdom women cultivate not only transforms their lives but also fosters deeper connections and healing for those around them.
How do you define success as an entrepreneur?
For me, success isn’t just about growth or outcomes—it’s about alignment. It’s knowing that the work I’m doing reflects my values and makes a meaningful impact on the women I serve. To define success, I also need to define failure. Failure for me would be not trusting myself, not leaning in, or avoiding the scary and meaningful work of living an intenional life. If I don’t do this, I am not successful. But if I do—if I trust myself, face the challenges, boundary up, claim my sovereignty and live with purpose—then I am already successful.
